EP17 “It would be nice if something made sense for a change”

Because it’s all so crazy. In fact, this past week literally feels like a trip down the rabbit hole, and it literally ended with one. We are time fillers, that’s what we do. We fill our time with nonsense to help us get through our days. We love our lives, we live them the best that we can, but sometimes nothing makes sense.

Last week we decided that we were going to break down some barriers and become Hinge and Bumble ready. Well we did it. And it lasted all of 48 long hours. We reveal what we saw, but beware, those places are insane. You start of being someone one second, and the next thing you know, you are a totally different person. Mad. Personally, we are pretty much judgement free. I mean we are human so, it’s impossible to never let a first impression rule our thoughts, but for the most part, we like to think that we see people as they are, not what they appear to be. That perception was completely altered in the land of online dating apps. We found ourselves swiping left more often than not, and critically analyzing those that we might swipe right. Our minds were not what they were in Bumble land’s beehive. It changed us, and pretty quickly. We jumped in without really testing the waters and we were so disappointed with the outcome. So we left.

Our arrow was pointed in another direction, so for now we are just going to follow it wherever it goes. We are still out these looking for something, but not exactly sure what that is. Nothing is what it seems. And sometimes if we wait long enough for some layers to be removed, we might be pleasantly surprised. The rabbit hole seems a little scary, straight forward; down, down you go, but in reality the fall isn’t always as hard as expected.

We had some adventures this week. And most of them thoroughly enjoyable. From having some pod on pod action and discussion social experiments, to visiting some new and old places,  we kept our selves busy and entertained. So entertained that this week, we needed caffeine to get through the conversation. It’s all good in the hood, or the hole, or Starbucks or wherever the heck we ended up.

Listen to this week’s episode to hear about our whirlwind of a week. We took some chances, went some places, and made some new friends. Although it wasn’t how we planned exactly, we have some stories to tell. Living by the words of the Cheshire Cat, “I’m not crazy. My reality is just different from yours.”
